First Day of School!!!

The kids are officially both enrolled in Lake Carolina Elementary. What a great feeling! I can't believe my little boy started Kindergarten. He is really loving school. I can't believe how fast they grow. Hannah is in 2nd grade and loves her teacher. She is fortunate to have a few friends in class this year and is thriving in her classroom. We are so happy with Lake Carolina and the kids look forward to going daily. That is a great feeling. We are also fortunate to have one of our dear friends pick the kids up from school everyday. They get to walk home with the Watts boys. I love them having the opportunity to be walkers this year. This is what I remember about my childhood. Until next time....

Disney Again!!!

This was a very unique experience at Disney. I had a work meeting and last minute decided to ask Mandy to come and bring her kids. We ended up going to Disney for two days. We had a blast. This was their first time going. We are officially Disney experts. I loved watching the kids faces as they experienced everything for the first time. I was a little nervous because Buzzy is always with me but we managed. We had a blast and rode each ride 2 and 3 times. Again the favorites were Splash Mountain and Thunder Railroad. I love this picture overlooking the castle. What a great experience and again memories that will last a lifetime......

July 4th!!!!

This year we were in Litchfield until July 3rd. We had a wonderful experience with several military people. They were getting ready for the the July 4th fly by. The jets fly right over Litchfield. What a need experience and a beautiful flag. We had the opportunity to thank them for what they do on a daily basis for our country. I love this picture. Beautiful....

We were out ghost crabbing one night and a fisherman caught this baby shark. Alex was fascinated by it. He ran up and wanted to hold it. This was so funny because he was just scared to pick up a ghost crab. Seriously crab or shark!! I can't believe the picture turned out so well because it was so dark. This was definitely a first at Litchfield. There were so many baby sharks this year. We went later the end of June so it was a lot warmer. Interesting......

What a special treat to have all the grils at the beach at the same time. Unfortunately my mom went to the ER three times because of an inflammed thumb. We have since found out that she has metastatic melanoma. We would never have even imagined this. She is so strong and we are so very proud of her. One thing she can be sure of she will never be alone during this. She has so many friends and three daughters that will be there for her every step of the way. I look back on this picture now and still can't believe it. We all love her dearly. Hang in there mom.....

Cousin Time!!

This was the first year we had all 6 cousins at the beach. Caroline was asleep in this picture. What a blast! They are all growing up so fast. We use to collect shells and build sand castles all day. We are now ghost crab hunting and digging enormous holes to play in. I look forward to this trip every year. What a great tradition! The kids have grown up at Litchfield beach. I hope they will cherish the memories forever like I do about going to Hilton Head when I was young. I am smiling thinking about next year already. Until next time.......

I still love this gate. Every year it truly reminds me of the true meaning of Easter. I had to laugh this year because Alex figured out how to get into the gate. It is usually locked. He was so proud when he told me look at the flowers everywhere. I discovered this is a memory garden. I had to get him out so he would not disturb anything. He kept wanting to sneak back in and look at the flowers. I love this picture as well. Until next time....

Tulips Again!!!

Every year I take the kids to get their pictures taken by the tulips. This year was much easier. I could actually get them to pose for me. That was a first. This was my favorite picture. The most difficult thing is getting them to pick only one tulip for the road. They always want to pick a bunch and I tell them they have to choose their favorite one only. I love comparing my pictures from the previous years. This is something the children will love when they get older. I will continue to go every year. This was year 7 for Hannah and 5 for Alex. Daddy Daughter Dance!!!

This was year 4 for the Daddy Daughter Dance. Buzzy and Hannah really enjoy their date night. They practice there dance moves for weeks prior to going. Again this year Hannah would not let Buzzy sit down. I love to hear that. One of our friends told me that Buzzy had to dance with all the little girls. They are already working on their moves for next year. I love this picture. You can truly see how much she has grown. She will remember these dances for the rest of her life. My Baby Boy is 5!!!!

Alex turned five this year. We ended up going tubing with his 3 best friends- Harrison, Jackson, and Ryan. They had a blast. All of there birthdays are within 2 weeks of each other. WOW!! Kindergarten better watch out. The house we stayed at you could tube out of the back door. It was so steep. I was scared but the kids thought it was a blast. The only problem was it took about 20 minutes to walk up the mountain to go again. It was a workout but worth every minute. Until next time....

1st Performance!!!

Hannah and her best friend Madison performed today for the half-time show at the basketball game. This was their first real performance. They did great. Buzzy was laughing because after each part in the routine she would look up at us and wave. She had to do 3 cartwheels in a row and she did them perfect. I was so proud of her. She really shines when she performs. You can tell she really loves being on stage. I can't wait to continue to watch her performances. She even has the gamecock hand signal down. Look at the photo. Snow Time!!!

December 26th. We were so close to a Christmas snow. The children had a blast. It ended up snowing 4 inches in Columbia. The kids went sledding down the YMCAs hills. We met a bunch of their friends and played and built a gigantic snowman. Wow do they love snow. We are surprising Alex and taking him tubing for his 5 year old birthday. He enjoyed himself so much that he and his best buddies are going to celebrate their birthdays on the slopes. He will be so excited. He is really growing up and developing a personality of his own. No longer following his sister and her friends around. Until next time...

Christmas Traditions!!!

I miss the holidays already. We really enjoy the time at home with the kids and family. We have a few traditions that we have developed over the years.... Elgin Christmas trains a must, Christmas church service always beautiful, Visiting multiple Santas, Seeing the cousins, Writing notes to Santa, The Elf on the Shelf, The Naughty and Nice list which Alex loves to put Daddy on, Making cookies, Leaving out a large carrot for the reindeer, The reindeer taking bites out of the carrot and leaving it behind, Santa rips his suit coming down our chimney, and lots of Family Fun. Just typing them out make me excited for next year. Until then....

Christmas 2010 was a blast. The whole Atlanta crew came to Columbia. This was a first. The kids are really starting to enjoy each others company. They had a camp out in my playroom. 6 sleeping bags all lined up and believe it or not they were asleep by 10. Ages here are Hannah 7, Thomas 6, Braden 5, Alex 4, James 4, Caroline 2. I enjoy when we can all get together. I wish it could be more but life gets in the way. New Year's resolution is to see the cousins more.

Disney Again!!!

This will be one of many posts from our Disney trip. Talk about detailed face painting take a look at my pirate boy and unicorn girl. The kids asked everyday to have their face painted. Finally on the last day we decided to go ahead and do it. $27 later this is how they looked. I think they would still be wearing it today if they could. I had to bribe them to wash their face. They love getting their face painted. I wish I was that talented and could do it. It took only 5 minutes for these masterpieces. Post one of many to come...

Calling All Cowboys and Cowgirls!!!

Hannah's 7 year old birthday party was at Country Adventures again this year. She truly loves animals and this was her first pick. This time we had all of her friends dress up like Cowboys and Cowgirls. Everyone looked so cute. I must admit that my Cowkids are adorable. They roasted marshmellows, rode a pony, went on a hayride, and pet several animals. Hannah came home with a large pumpkin to carve for Halloween. Alex had a blast as well and actually wore cowboy boots. This is a first for him considering he only likes crocs and tennis shoes. We had perfect weather and everyone had a blast. Tiny Twisters Cheerleading!!

Hannah has joined a competitve cheerleading squad named the Tiny Twisters. She is really enjoying it. They got to cheer at a pep rally at a USC game as a fundraiser for their uniforms. She says she is going to be a cheerleader for the Gamecocks like her Mommy. I love hearing that. She will be in her first competition November 6th. I can't wait to go and support the girls. She has really learned so much and has perfected a cartwheel and almost a roundoff. Go Hannah!!

2010-2011 School Year. This was the first day of school. Our school has to wear uniforms so this was what they chose to wear the first day. They were so cute. I can't believe Hannah is in first grade and Alex in pre-K. Hannah's teacher is Mrs. Johnson. She absolutely loves her. I have never seen her so excited to go to school and learn. Alex has Mrs. Boswell for his second year in a row. He loves her as well. One of his best friends is in his class, Harrison. Until next time....

Hole in One!!

Here is a picture of Alex and Hannah during their big putt putting match. Alex ended up getting a hole in one. He was so excited jumping up and down. They did really good this year. Gone Crabbing!!

I had to post this picture from the beach. We fished off our back dock this year. The kids loved it. Alex ended up catching something this year. It was not this fish he is holding. He ended up catching a very large blue crab. He would not hold it because he said it would pinch him. So he decided to hold up this fish his Uncle Jon caught. He is now hooked on fishing. When we got home we had to buy him a fishing pole. We have already been fishing. He loves it. Until next time...

Litchfield 2010!!

We had another great year at Litchfield with the family. This year we did a few new things. We caught minnows in our nets, we found several shark teeth, and we also fished off the back porch. We had a really good time. The kids built sand castles and went to the pool a lot. Alex learned how to doggy paddle while at the beach. This was a huge step because he was scared of the water prior to our trip. Hannah's favorite part of the beach was riding her bike on the beach this year. Alex's favorite part of the trip was playing ball with Daddy, Papa Dude and Todd. I am sure Papa Dude and Todd are glad to finally sit down and rest. Until next time....

My little ballerina. Well Hannah chose to do ballet this year and not tap. This makes since because she loves twirling around the house. Her favorite books are Angelina Ballerina series as well. This picture was taken during the performance. She really has a softness about her when she dances. This captures this. I was so proud of her. She did a great job. My Ball Player

Alex has started T-ball. It has been a lot of fun. He loves playing. He is really good. When he hits the ball he picks up his leg and steps into it. Very cute. I am so proud of him. His team is the River Dogs. Alex is obsessed with baseball right now. He loves to watch it on tv and practice with Buzzy in the backyard. I think Hannah likes t- ball just as much. Her and her friend, Eliza go bird hunting during the game. She is actually listing off names of birds to me. She thinks they are going to catch one before the season is over. It is so cute. The Hat Parade

Alex participated in the annual hat parade this year. He wanted to do a baseball hat. I thought it turned out perfect. We ended up buying an Easter basket and put it on his head. Mommy even sewed bases and his name on the back. We cut out a cardboard bat and covered it with felt. He loved it. He was so proud walking dowdn the hall waving to everyone. I think it was a hit. Daddy Daughter Dance

This is Hannah and her Daddy's 3rd year attending the Daddy Daughter Dance at school. She looks forward to it each year. I think her favorite part is the year long practicing of their dance moves and the corsage. This year Hannah and Buzzy incorporated a twirl and a dip in their routine. It is really funny. Daddy also bought her another beautiful corsage. We put this on right before she leaves. She blushes and gives him a big hug every year. Hannah's first concert. It was so much fun. Hannah went with 6 of her very good friends. I think the Mommy's had just as much fun. Halloween Fun!!

This Halloween was so funny. I decided to buy both of the kids a costume this year. Alex said he wanted to be a black knight and Hannah a leopard. So after $100 spent for these costumes you will notice Alex is not a black knight. We had a bunch of parties this month so he wore his black knight outfit to the first one, batman pjs to the next, scary skeleton to the next and finally on Halloween night he said he wanted to be a football player. Note to myself don't buy him a costume next year. Haha. Hannah loved her leopard outfit and wore it out. You will notice Teca was a princess. Hannah dressed her in her build a bear clothes. She had a blast for her first Halloween.

Fun At The Fair!!

This is the third year the kids have rode the elephant at the fair. They always have so much fun. Mommy did not ride with them this year because they are getting so big. We had a blast as usual. We eat gyros, frisk fries, and ice cream. Yum Yum. The kids really enjoyed the rides this year. Alex loves rollercoasters. Hannah and Mommy rode a water ride three times. It was awesome. The First Day Of School!!

Look at my little ones on the first day of school. Hannah was starting Kindergarten and Alex Child Development. They were so excited that they would be at the same school. A Tribute To My Dad!!

Well it has been a while since I have written a blog. It has been a rough summer. In June I received a phone call that my dad was having emergency bowel surgery. He ended up having one complication after another and unfortunately his battle ended on August 9th. He gave a good fight but his body is finally at peace. I will miss being able to call and talk to him about the kids. He always loved talking to Hannah. Hannah asked me recently to call Granddad. I told her he had gone to heaven. She asked if she could take an airplane to see him. It was so innocent and cute. I really grew closer to my dad over the past few years. I think he really loved being a part of the grandkids lives. I will truly miss him. I hope he is watching over all of us and enjoying all of the good parts of our lives and helping us through the rough patches. I love you Dad!!

My Tubing Boys!!

We have really enjoyed the boat this year. Alex has had a blast tubing. Here is a picture of him and Daddy after tubing. He really likes to tube with Mommy better because he does not like getting too wet. Mommy always wants to go slow so no one will get hurt. He loves it. His favorite thing to do at the lake is fish. This year in Hannah's dance recital she was a munchkin. This was part of the Wizard of Oz. It was an excellent performance. It combined dancing with acting. She really did great. The Surfer Boy!!!

Our little surfer boy. Alex loved surfing this year at the beach. The only thing is he liked to surf on the sand and not the water. He really is obsessed with surf boards. We had to get him a surfing towel from Pottery Barn for the trip. He has a surf board bathing suit as well. Look at how cute he is. Everyone on the beach was laughing because he surfed for hours. Once again we had a wonderful trip to Litchfield. We had the whole clan attend this year. We went to the staple places again- Debodieu, Wahoos, The Crazy Crab, and Eagles. Hannah went with Mandy for an extra week this year. She was a beach bum. Loving every minute of it. She even held a shark that a fisherman caught. It was bitter sweet when we left this year. The house we always rent was for sale. So we will have to wait and see what happens next year. Until then...

I had a great Mother's Day. The kids woke up and Hannah cooked Mommy breakfast in bed. I slept in at the lake. The kids were up early fishing and getting breakfast ready for Mommy. It was really cute. They made me cards, flower pots, and Hannah did a plate with her handprints on it for me. My favorite thing in the world is something handmade from my kids. I loved it. Mother's Day weekend was a blast. Our family stayed in a cabin on Lake Moultrie for the weekend. It was beautiful. The kids wanted to catch a fish so bad. They tried and tried and we never ended up catching one. We did take the golf cart down to the playground and the beach. The water was cold but that did not stop them from going in. We had a blast. It was nice to spend time with the family with no daily distractions. Until next time....

Soccer Time!!

Ok it has been a while since I posted a blog. So I decided to update 3 tonight. Alex has started his first activity. He is now playing soccer at the Y. He plays with a few of his good friends Harrison, Jackson, Camden, and Ryan. He is really starting to enjoy soccer. Last week he got a hold of the ball and kicked it all the way up the field. He did not quite score but we are getting closer. One of his buddies actually did score last week. He scored a point for the other team. You take what you can get at the age of 3. Until next time...

Tulips Again!!

Every year I go and take pictures of the kids at the most beautiful church with hundreds of tulips. This year was a little easier with the kids. Alex still runs around picking tulips. This year we only picked five. It is a good thing they have hundreds of them. The pollen was real bad this year and you could see it in some of my pictures. Crazy. Daddy Daughter Dance!!

Hannah and Buzzy went to their second annual Daddy Daughter Dance. They had a blast. Hannah spoke about it the entire week. She told all of her teachers about the flowers she was going to wear on her wrist. She wanted me to curl her hair and she even posed for several pictures this year. Buzzy said she would not let him off the dance floor. This is what I would have expected since Buzzy always dances with her every night. He always says they are working on their dance routine for the next Daddy Daughter Dance. When Buzzy's legs started getting tired he took his sweetheart to get icecream at Sprinkles. What a way to end the evening.

Alex and his best friend Harrison had their birthday together this year. Their party was at Bounce Around. They had a blast running and jumping on all of the bouncies. He really loved the basketball game that was there. He shot basketball for half of his party. He picked a Batman cake and Harrison picked a Spiderman cake. I had to put a post in for the big snow storm in Columbia, SC. Yes, we were determined to build a snowman no matter how much snow we had. The kids had a blast. They went sledding down Aunt Stephanie's golf course. Buzzy said he guesses you could call it sledding considering he had to tie a rope on a cookie sheet. Regardless they drank hot chocolate and had a blast. Look really closely next to Hannah on the ground and that is the big snowman that we built. Until next time...

We Are Ready For Santa!!!

Hannah and Alex were so excited for Santa this year. They put on their Santa hats and got everything ready for Santa. They put out cookies and milk and wrote Santa a very sweet note. Too Small For Rides Never!!!

OK, I am a bad mom. Alex wanted to ride every ride with Hannah. Here is a picture of the crab ride. He stretched really tall to just meet the requirements. I always wondered why there were height requirements. Well now I know when you can barely see over the seat it is hard to enjoy the ride. Believe it or not this was his favorite. He loved it and rode it again and again. Hannah kept saying that her stomach tickled the whole ride. We really had a blast. Can't wait to ride it again....

SeaWorld Here We Come!!!

We love going to Disney in December. Our first stop this year was SeaWorld. This was a first for our family. This was one of our favorite places. Hannah has always really loved animals and what a better way to experience animals up close. We fed dolphins, touched sharks, and even pet sting rays. We watched the Shamu show twice. It truly was amazing watching what these animals can do. The kids still talk about this part of the trip. We will definitely add this to our list for next time. Until then....

Hannah and her class went to the pumpkin patch for school. Hannah wanted to choose out the perfect pumpkin. She kept telling me she could not decide if she wanted the small pumpkin in her hand or the big one she was sitting against. I had never seen a pumpkin so big. She ended up choosing the small pumpkin. They got to hear a pumpkin story and walk around with the class and look at all of the different pumpkins. She really loves pumpkins just like her mommy. I asked Alex this year what he wanted to be for Halloween. It was so funny. He did not even hesitate. He said, "Mommy I am a police man." So I had to order this police outfit. I tried everywhere to find one in his size but they were all too big. He absolutely loved this outfit. He went around saying your going to jail and blowing the whistle. He looked so precious. Wow, how time flies. Hannah has officially turned 5. I can't believe it. We had a blast at Hannah's birthday party. One of my favorite holidays is Halloween. I love carving pumpkins and dressing up. Hannah's birthday party was a dress-up party. All of the girls were so cute. Of course the boys were handsome but getting a picture of them was a little more challenging. Hannah had a balloon man and we all decorated pumpkins. We really had a great birthday party. Hannah was her favorite princess which this year was Jasmine!! Until next time.....

Alex and My First Camping Trip!!

Yes, you read the title correct. Alex and mommy went camping last week. We went to Helen, GA with Mandy and Jon. Now I would say we were ruffing it but my brother-in-law is always so prepared. We get to the camp site and he raked the whole site, made a fire pit, chairs out of rocks, put up the tents, and even found us all bear sticks. It was awesome. I will admit I was a little nervous that we would have a visit from some animals during the night. We had such a great time. We did have to leave at 3 AM because it rained so bad. I would definitely go again. Well only if my brother-in-law was there again. Check out our picture....

Well it has been a while since I have written. We have been very busy with school and work. Last weekend I took Hannah to Savannah with me for the weekend. Mommy had a work function to attend. Hannah and Mommy had a blast. We went on a carriage ride. Hannah got to drive the horse. She was so excited. The horse's name was Salt. His brother's name was Pepper. She did awesome. She has been talking about this ever since. She really loves horses. We also went to The Pirate House for a Shirley Temple. A real pirate served this to her. A little scary but fun. She has been talking about our special weekend ever since.

Fan Day!!!

Those of you that are reading this are laughing saying of course The Myers would go to Fan Day for the Gamecocks. We had a blast at fan day. Alex and Hannah got to get the soccer players, volleyball players, cheerleaders, cocky, and the football teams autographs on posters. Alex was funny he carried around a football schedule handing it to everyone to sign. Spurrier signed his poster instead of his schedule and he was so upset that Spurrier signed his schedule as well. He was confused why he could not eat popcorn like he does at the games. Hannah of course decided she wanted to hang out where the cheerleaders were. She took pictures with them and even practiced a cheer. We ended up spending a good portion of the day here. View my pictures...

First Day of School!!!

Today was the first day of school. Hannah was so excited to see her friends from last year. She really missed Mrs. Boswell's class this summer. Hannah would now be one of the older kids in her class. She thought she was so cool today. Her teacher had Hannah show a new little girl in their class around. It was sooo funny. She acted as if she was the teacher. She told this little girl every little detail of the classroom. I loved just sitting back and listening. It is amazing how much she has grown since last year. One more year until Kindergarden. Tubing Fun!!!

I know a lot of my blogs talk about our boating excursions. I have another. We bought a tube and went out today with it. Hannah wanted to tube with Mommy. She did awesome. She kept saying faster faster. Then Alex decided he wanted to tube. Mommy and Alex were on the tube and Papa Dude was pulling us. We were going so slow that we bogged down. Yes, Alex and Mommy flipped. He looked at me and said that was fun but it is Daddy's turn. The kids laughed and laughed as Papa Dude threw Buzzy off the tube. We had a great day. Until next time...

This weekend Alex decided he could swim without his life jacket. He had been watching Hannah and her friends all day and said he wanted to try. Obviously mommy was right there until.... he walked around to the stairs and just walked in and started swimming. It was a little scary. I rushed over and grabbed him. He did not even choke. He was so excited saying he blew out his nose. I couldn't believe it. He keeps telling me he can swim. I guess he is a natural. I still have to watch him like a hawk but he did great.

Well as you all know Alex is obsessed with sports. I could not get him to sleep in his big boy bed so decided to change his room's theme. I am going for the sports theme in hopes to get him excited to sleep in his room. I could not find any cute pictures for the wall so thought I would get Alex's pictures made with all different sports outfits. OK, a two year old taking his pictures and having to change him 4 times during the photo shoot probably isn't the best idea. Surprisingly he did awesome. His pictures turned out so cute. I am going to frame them and make them the pictures on the walls in his room. Of course I had to bribe him with a cookie but it was worth it. Take a look....

Wow, We Did It!!

Today Buzzy and I can hardly move. We went to Atlanta and ran the Peachtree Road Race. It was great. It all started with a trip to Nana's. We ate spagetti to get ready for the race. Then we went to visit Trey and Jenny. Trey has a kegorator. That is all I have to say. Three beers the night before the race. Probably not great. On race day we woke up at 5:25 and went down to run a 10K. That is a big deal for two people that don't like running. It was great. I ran with my sister because we had a number in the 4th group. Buzzy had a number in the last group. We both finished just fine. I completed the race in 1 hr 20 minutes. I only walked twice and not very far so I was very proud. Buzzy finished the race in 1 hr and 9 minutes. Great considering he hates running. I still had to wait for him for an hour because he was so far back. 55, 000 runners. Look for our pictures online. Fun Times At Litchfield!!

Well, I haven't written in a while. We have been very busy and took our family vacation. We went to Litchfield Beach for the 4th year in a row. We love going there. The kids had a blast. We went to the beach and built sand castles. Hannah boogie boarded for her first time. It was hard to get her out of the ocean. We also went to the waterpark. Alex wanted to stay pretty close to mommy but Hannah again went down lots of slides. She said her favorite is the Head Buster. She is a dare devil. I wonder where she gets that. Haha. One night we went putt putting. Again, lots of fun. Alex is pretty good. Hannah likes to look at the scenery and run ahead. We love the traditions we have built at Litchfield with the Krazy Krab, Wahoo's restaurant eating on the water, and Debordieu's pool (Thanks Ali). Until next time....

My Big Girl!!!

It is amazing how quickly your children grow up. Yesterday Hannah and I went to the pool after work. I forgot her floaty but figured since I had only Hannah it would be OK. We ended up seeing her best friend Madison at the pool. By the end of the evening Hannah and Madison were both jumping off the diving board and swimming to the side of the pool. Madison's daddy had to catch them once they jumped off but they swam to the side by themselves in the deep end. It was amazing. Last year Hannah would not even put her face in the water. What a difference a year makes!!!! Until next time....

The Beach Kids!!!

Nana finished school and came up to visit Hannah and Alex last week. I had to work in Myrtle Beach so they all came with me. We had a blast. Hannah and Alex ran up and down the beach collecting shells. Then Alex discovered the pool. That was the end of the beach. Hannah and Alex literally swam for hours. Alex was so cute because he finally figured out if he moved his legs as fast as he could in the water he could swim by himself with a life jacket. He wanted to go from one side to the other. Everyone at the pool was laughing because he was moving his legs so fast. We also went putt-putting one evening. Nana was actually pretty good. I am excited for our beach trip in two weeks. We have had a blast on the boat the past few weekends. The kids are really enjoying the boat. Alex sits at the front of the boat and yells, "Go Fast Daddy Fast!" Hannah just giggles. They love looking for floating fish. We usually see about 2 or 3 a trip. The kids think the floaters are sleeping. It is so funny. This weekend we had a picnic at Dreher Island Park. We parked the boat and got out to eat. It was a lot of fun. The Watts Clan was with us. Imagine 5 kids on a boat. They loved it. This weekend was the first weekend that Hannah and Alex went swimming. They really love the water. They tried to get me in but it was too cold. Maybe next time. Until then.....

OK. It has been a while but a lot happened last week. It all started with Hannah accidentally scratching my cornea. Then Alex got strep. He was put on an antibiotic and had an allergic reaction. Then yes I got sick. I went to pick up Alex on Thursday and was told he had a spill at school. He fell and hit his head on the door hinge. So I took him to the ER. They ended up glueing his wound back together. All I have to say is I am so glad that week is over. Until next time....

Little Fish!!

Hannah started swim lessons this week with three of her friends. The classes are really cute. The instructors throw pretend food across the pool and the children have to go shopping. They also play Simon says. The girls are doing great. Hannah is so excited because the instructor has removed 3 pads from her life jacket. She has 6 more classes so hopefully by the end she will be swimming without any pads. She is doing great. I will keep you posted....

The Rock Stars!!!

This past weekend was a blast. We went to one of our friend's house with 5 other couples and all of the kids. We all played Rock Band all night. I will post some pictures so you can see the true rockers in action. The adults were like kids and the kids just ran around the house all night. Alex came downstairs with one of his buddies Jackson and their arms were covered in markers. Thank goodness it was just their arms. The girls played dress up. Hannah was Cinderella for a few hours. Sparkleberry Fair!!

This weekend was the Sparkleberry Fair. Hannah performed a tap and ballet dance there. It was really cute. Aunt Steph and Uncle Todd came to help me out because Buzzy was out of town. They thought the dance was hilarious because the kids really just stood there and every now and then busted a move.

Alex had a great time. Hannah and Alex rode rides and ponies, pet animals and did arts and crafts. Alex wanted to ride the biggest pony there and he rode it without Mommy holding him. AHHHH!!! It was really cute. They really had a blast and were really good for their Mommy.

Gone Fishing!!

This weekend we had a blast fishing from a dock at the end of our street. It was adorable. Hannah and Alex found some sticks in the backyard. We went and put string on the end of them. Yes, it was our homemade fishing poles. We also brought bread down for the ducks and fish. Alex was looking for Nemo all day. Some of our friends were out on the lake and came by and picked us up. It was the kids first boat ride. They had a blast. Alex kept saying, "go fast go fast." Hannah giggled the whole time. We really had a great time. We can't wait to do it again.

Single Dad!!

Yes, Buzzy is a single Dad this week. I am in Fort Myers for a work trip. Before I left we had to implement a listening spot at the house. Hannah and Alex have decided not listening is fun. Well Hannah said we need to put a piece of tape on the floor with her name and one with Alex's name so they can sit there if they don't listen. I thought that was pretty creative so we did that. I called home yesterday and Hannah told me that she added another piece of tape to the floor for Daddy. She said he had not been listening to her while I was gone. All I could do was laugh. Buzzy said this was true she added a piece of tape for him. Haha. Buzzy also had to take her to dance tonight. They gave Hannah a Tutu for her upcoming performance. Buzzy said he did not know how to put it on her. I wish I had a picture of this. Hopefully he will survive....

Wow The Pollen!!

The pollen has struck our family hard this year. Buzzy, Mommy and the kids have spent a lot of time outside this week after school. Alex is now hitting a baseball pitched by Buzzy overhand. Buzzy is very proud of his little slugger. Hannah now can swing herself on the swing. This is new this week. Now Mommy doesn't have to push her for hours at a time. With all of this being said, we all woke up this morning with severe allergies. Alex is wheezing, Hannah's eyes won't stop watering, and Mommy's whole body aches. I guess this is what happens when you play in pollen. I even have pollen footsteps throughout my house. Until next time...

The Big 35!!

Today was Buzzy's birthday. The kids were probably more excited than Buzzy because they were going to have a birthday party. While Buzzy was golfing the kids decided to get ready for the party. Hannah said she wanted her daddy to have a cake with flowers, a sun, and a picture of her whole family on it. She then went and wrapped up a present that she found in the playroom for her daddy. It was a fake cake and a plate she made from Art Elements. She even painted a card. Alex decided he wanted to do what sissy was doing. He picked out a plastic plate and a fake french fry. He put it in a bag and used an entire roll of tape fixing it for daddy. He then colored a picture for daddy and decided he would color both of his arms as well in permanent pink marker. That was a lot of fun trying to get off. Hannah counted out 35 candles. Alex and Hannah placed all of them on the cake. Yes, I did say 35. Buzzy loved his birthday celebration.

Potty Time!!

Today the director of Alex's daycare called my cell phone. The conversation was like this....

Kelley, Alex is OK. I wanted to tell you something special that happened to him today. He told his teacher that he had to go potty. She said she put him on the potty and he pooped on the potty for the first time. He was so proud that he asked his friends to come and see. The director said Alex thought he was hot stuff. They ended up celebrating the rest of the day.

Mommy is soooo proud. Alex is almost 27 months. Not bad.
